Jemi is a social policy professional and strategist with extensive experience delivering state government reforms. More recently, her career has focused on innovation, digital & customer transformation. She currently leads the NSW Government's customer culture program, which is embedding a customer-focused culture across the NSW public service.
In January 2021, Jemi brought her expertise together with her passion for economically empowering women, to kickstart Penny. She first came up with the concept in 2018 while working in a small team partnering start-ups to address complex policy problems; and following a series of candid conversations with other women about their money goals, experiences and challenges. A subsequent survey of 100+ women solidified her commitment to finding innovative and effective solutions to financially empower women.
Diana is a highly skilled researcher, problem solver, and human-tech designer with over 15 years experience working in Experience and Service Design. She's worked for a broad range of technology and design companies delivering financial services, SaaS products, digital health applications and services and more.
Diana loves learning, finds human behaviour fascinating, and strives to focus her work on improving lives.
As a teenager, her aunt gave her the book "Women and money" by Suze Orman, which helped her realise the importance of becoming a financially independent woman.
Diana joined Penny in 2021 to support other women on their journey to achieve this goal, so they are always in a position where they have options and can make the decision that is ultimately right for them.

Thea joined Penny in 2022 with the goal of helping other young women+ gain the skills and knowledge needed to feel confident about their money. Money isn’t just a men’s game, and Penny will help women step up.

Mathuri thrives in the pursuit of purpose. Her career spans the finance and government sectors, curation of business and diversity events, as well as marketing and communications across different markets. Her first job was working for her dad in credit management and debt recovery, where she realised the importance of good money management and how debt can disproportionately affect women.
Mathuri joins the Penny team with excitement about sharing our vision to empower women to manage their own finances and control their destiny.
“I think Penny will be a game changer for women everywhere” - Mathuri.
